Why are Dedham roads so bad and Boston roads are clear down to the pavement?

I just don't get it. Several streets were not plowed in Riverdale until after 7 pm Saturday night. Parker Staples got plowed BY A RESIDENT. Lindale Ave saw a dinky pick up truck 3 times Friday...last run at 6 pm. and that created a pathway the width of the blade mostly on the odd side of the street. SATURDAY AM Town truck came doo wn and pushed back the snow on the even side to within a foot of the edge. THEN we saw the heavy duty contractor truck-without a plow! make a drive by. Saw the dinky little pickup 4 more times. Nothing since. Riverdale school got plowed out onto Needham st, then snow was put in dumb trucks, hauled to Memorial field and dumped. Did the conservation committee give the ok? Oh, and Dedham square has 6 inches or more on the road. The guys at the VFW and American Legion got their lots down to tar. And they do driveways, too! Let's hire them! This is insane! The guy we had a couple years ago had heavy equipement, and knew the streets. Get him back!

I would love to disagree, but I just can not. Elmview Place, which is the exit to the gym of the High School got one pass. Not only that, they stopped before the end of the street and just went into the school parking lot. Missed the bottom half of the street and left the end house snowed in. Saw four plows go by the street with the blade up. Just saw the Custodians taking snow from the parking lot in the school pick up - this is going to be a long night for them. Then when the plows do come back, I guarantee that I will not be able to get out in the morning - the driveway will be plowed in. Good thing Ursuline is closed Monday and my oldest is away at college - will actually have time to shovel it out. Trying to figure out why at least the school streets have not been taken care of by now. Understood Saturday, but it is now 4:30 on Sunday. No news as to whether school is closed tomorrow either. Dumping at Memorial has always been - even since I was little in this town. Yup, there goes a dump truck full of snow by the house. The trucks will be going by all night to dump in the old St. Mary's parking lot, so it will be a long loud night for us on Mt. Vernon Street.
