Snow is on the menu today, kids head into school late and free calls to Japan

  1. And you thought spring was here. According to the National Weather Service, snow will fall this morning with accumulations of less than an inch before precipitation turns to rain for the afternoon. Snow is expected tonight with additional accumulation of less than an inch.
  2.  students in grades nine, 11 and 12 don't have to go to school until 9 a.m. today. Sophomores will be taking MCAS tests. School buses will run on normal schedules.

  4. Yard waste collection begins Monday, March 28 for collection week A and April 4 for week B. Remember not to use plastic bags or mix yard waste and household garbage.
  5. RCN customers can make free calls to friends and family in earthquake-ravaged Japan. Customers can do call between now and April 3.
