  1. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 45 degrees today with a chance of rain after 4 p.m. Wind gusts could get as high as 35 m.p.h. during the day, according to the National Weather Service.
  2. Three varsity teams are in playoff action tonight. The girls hockey team will drop the puck at 6:30 p.m. at Nobles against Sandwich. The boys hockey team will travel to Canton to take on Oliver Ames. That game starts at 7:30 p.m. The boys basketball team will look for - this time on the road against Rockland at 7:30 p.m.
  3. Three-seeded girls basketball will host Loomis Chaffee in the opening round of the NEPSAC Class A playoffs today at 4:30 p.m.

  5. When negotiating a left-hand turn, try not to hit into a tractor-trailer (see photo above). This happened Tuesday afternoon as a minivan driver attempted to exit onto Providence Highway. No one was injured, police said.
