5 Things To Do This Weekend: Sept. 23-25

The weekend is full of annual events for kids, runners and just the regular Dedhamites.

It's Thursday, and you've got no idea what you'll do for the weekend. Dedham Patch is coming to the rescue.


  1. When/Where:
    12 p.m. Sunday, at
    Why go: The annual event put on by the brings a day full of food, games, rides and, of course, cow deeds.
    Pricing: Minimal charge for food, beer and rides
  2. When/Where: 2 p.m. on Saturday at the
    Why go: complete with food, a bouncy house, face painting, pony rides, entertainment and 3 tickets to play games to win some great prizes. All proceeds benefit the Boston Children's Hospital.
    Pricing: Kids are $5; adults are free

  3. When/Where: 9 a.m. Sunday is the start time at
    Why go: Show off that beach body you worked on all summer at this first-ever event that raises money for the Vascular Birthmar Foundation - plus when else will you be able to run Rustcraft Road without fear of oncoming traffic?The route will take runners from to Central Avenue and back. And then take in the post-race festival at Legacy Place.
    Pricing:Registration is $20 online, or $30 the day of the race.
  4. When/Where: 6 - 9:30 p.m. Friday, at the
    Why go: Taste wine from several different regions in Italy paired with hors d’oeuvres and your choice of a dinner entree. Never been inside this historic Dedham house? Now is your chance. For Reservations please call 617-253-5211 or email info@mitendicotthouse.org.

    7 p.m. Friday, at
    Why go: The game was moved from to Weston as , but head up to Weston to see if the varsity squad can get new coach Dave Field his first win.
