5 Things, Nov. 27: Decorate Your Home for a Chance to Win $100K

1. Good morning, Dedham folks! Have you decorated, or are you planning to decorate, your house for the holidays this year? If so, enter our "Deck the House" contest and you could win $100,000 for your local school district and $500 to pay your electric bills.

2. Today, local residents will have the chance to transform Dedham Square into a  colorful winter wonderland in time for the Annual Dedham Square Holiday Stroll, which takes place on Friday, Nov. 30. Today, children up through eighth grade are invited to draw, paint or create a collage to represent what the holidays mean to them. , and your masterpiece will be displayed in one of the merchants’ windows throughout the Square the night of the Holiday Stroll.

3. Want to visit Santa in Dedham this holiday season? The jolly man will be back in town on Dec. 16 and Dec. 23.

4. The Dedham Dog Park is organizing dog owners to register their pet online. Dog owners can either register online by clicking here or by visiting the office at 269 Common St.

5. Older Adult Fitness Classes will resume today at 9:30 a.m., and are offered regularly at the First Church of Dedham-Unitarian. The class combines fitness with fun to increase endurance and strength with low-impact aerobic movements.
