Two Dedham politicians were seen congratulating Rep. Michael Rush (D-West Roxbury) last night on his primary victory for the state Senate. Selectman Sarah MacDonald arrived at the Corrib Pub in West Roxbury in time to receive a "thank you" from the victorious Rush during his acceptance speech.

State Rep. Paul McMurtry showed up early and often answered his iPhone to hear poll results from precincts throughout the area. McMurtry said despite not having a challenger, he still spent the day getting out the word for his colleague Mike Rush.

Fall Stroll Through Wilson Mountain

This week has brought cooler temperatures, which means you can get out ore and enjoy some of the walking trails at Wilson Mountain - that's what two local woman did today.

They insisted going for a walk there because it is a great and safe path to just go out on and enjoy these days. Both women agreed they couldn't wait for the leaves to change because the view will be even more amazing on the trails.

Liliana Vogt, a High Street resident, said, "Wilson Mountain is a wonderful place for people and dogs to get exercise, the people who come here are helpful and pleasant."

Vogt really talked Wilson Mountain up, saying nothing negative about the mountain. She continued to say, "People are so great, if you lose something on the trail they will put it on a post for you."

She loves the mountain and how well it is kept clean, the trails are clearly marked and, how wonderful it is to have an untamed place in the middle of the suburbs. Liliana lastly spoke about how convenient it is for Dedham residents and how she hopes that the people who come enjoy the area as much as she does.
