This Week at the Library: September 9-14, 2013

The kids are back in school, refreshingly cool weather is sweeping across the region, and apples are ripe for the picking. In other words, fall is rolling in and we at the Dedham Public Library are ready for it!

Throughout the fall, storytime will be held at 10:30am on Monday mornings at the Endicott Branch. (Storytime at the Main Library resumes in October.) Children and their caregivers are invited to join us for these weekly sessions, which include stories and sing-alongs.

Also beginning this week, Tail Waggin' Tutors will be available by appointment at both library locations. These trained therapy dogs will visit the Endicott Branch on Tuesday evenings and the Main Library on Wednesday evenings. Children are encouraged to practice their reading skills by reading aloud to these friendly pups. (Parents should call 781-751-9179 to schedule a timeslot.)

Looking for fall recipes? Come on by and we'll direct you to our fine selection of cookbooks. You'll be making apple crisp and pumpkin bread in no time!

We wish everyone a happy September and hope to see you soon at the library!
