Dedham Junior Woman's Club Craft Show coming up soon!

     After a successful day at the October Trunk or Treat event, members of the Dedham Junior Woman's Club are focusing full force on the 32nd Annual Craft Show coming up on Saturday, November 23.  The Craft Show will be held at the Dedham Middle School from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Admission is $3.00 per person with children under 12 free.  
     The Craft Show is the club's biggest fundraiser and typically raises about $10,000 which is donated back to community organizations and local charities. The proceeds also help fund the three scholarships that are given out by the club each year.  The scholarships are award to a high school senior who is continuing their education and a Dedham woman who is returning to school.
     The club's most recent donations included $250 to the John Thomas Special Friends Fund, $100 to UNICEF's Art in a Box program, $500 to the Avery school for the purchase of nooks and ebooks, $500 to the Oakdale School for an Electronic Notice Board, $500 to the Riverdale School for small item playground equipment, $500 to Greenlodge to go towards electronic media and $500 to the Dedham Middle School for their student recognition program.
     While the Craft Fair committee works through the year on the judging of crafters, publicity, and logistics of the day, all members of the club pull together on the day of the craft show by baking treats for sale in the cafeteria, marking off spaces in the gym, directing traffic and crafters on the morning of the show, covering admissions tables, working in the kitchen preparing food for lunch, staffing the raffle table and the end of day clean up.
     The club is hoping for another good turn out this year. Please help us reach our goal by coming to the craft show!
