Dedham Junior Woman's Club Awards Scholarship.

Each May the Dedham Junior Woman’s Club awards three scholarships to local residents of Dedham.  There are two $1,000 scholarships and one $500 scholarship.  The $1,000 scholarships are given to a high school senior who is continuing their higher education and a woman returning to school.  The $500 scholarship is awarded to a club member’s high school senior also for continuing higher education. The scholarships are given out based on volunteer activities and academic record. Funds for the scholarship are raised through the revenue of the Dedham Junior Woman’s Club Craft Show.

This year the club’s Craft Show will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Dedham Middle School.  This will be the 32nd year that the Dedham Junior Woman’s Club has sponsored the show.  The Craft Show is one of the most anticipated craft shows in the area. There are over 80 juried crafters offering some beautiful and uniquely crafted items. Luncheon is also served in the cafeteria.  The crafters’ raffle table will be back again.  Shoppers can take chances on winning a donated item from their favorite crafter. Admission is $3.00 per person; children under 12 are free. Along with funding the club’s scholarships, monies from the Craft Show are also donated to local organizations and charities
