Dedham Girls Softball Announces Hitting Clinic Facts & Figures

DEDHAM GIRLS SOFTBALL ANNOUNCES HITTING CLINIC FACTS & FIGURES!

Dedham Girls Softball League is pleased to once again offer free hitting Clinics for players registered in the DGSL 2013 Spring Season.  The clinics are intended to not only provide valuable instruction for beginners, but to be a great pre-season tune-up for experienced players.

 

Registrants will participate in a two-week session. The 2013 Clinic is once again being run by DGSL’s Hitting Instructor Angela Vecchione (Bio Below)

Participants can select ONE of the following options:

League Ages 10 & Under              Wed 3/6/12 6:10pm-7:15pm & Wed 3/13/12 6:10pm-7:15pm

 

League Ages 10 & Under              Wed 3/20/12 6:10pm-7:15pm & Wed 3/27/12 6:10pm-7:15pm

 

League Ages 11-14                        Wed 3/6/12 7:15pm-8:30pm & Wed 3/13/12 7:15pm-8:30pm

 

League Ages 11-14                        Wed 3/20/12 7:15pm-8:30pm & Wed 3/27/12 7:15pm-8:30pm

 

All Sessions will be held at the ECEC (Capen School) Gymnasium.

 

To register visit www.dedhamgs.com.   This is a separate registration from 2013 Spring registration - when registering select “2013 Hitting Clinic”.  Space is limited. There will be a waiting list and some of those registrants maybe moved to a different session. Participants are expected to attend both sessions. 

**For safety reasons, ONLY participants are allowed in the gym during Clinics.

Angela Vecchione has been recognized locally, regionally, and nationally as a force in fast pitch softball, in both High School and College. Angela was a four year All Star at Whitman-Hanson High School (1997). As a senior she was awarded the Boston Globe, Brockton Enterprise, and Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic Awards. As a four year starter at Bridgewater State College (2001) she twice helped power her team to World Series play while accumulating awards such as BSC Female Athlete of the Year (1998), ECAC Player of the Year (1999), MASCAC Player of the Year (1999 & 2001), and third team All-American honors. She holds records at Bridgewater State for most career hits, most triples in a season, career stolen bases, and NCAA Division III record for career triples.
