10th Annual Pumpkin Bowl This Weekend!

10th Annual Pumpkin Bowl Softball Tourney and Fundraiser for Dedham Girls Softball this weekend!

Come Enjoy the 10th Annual Pumpkin Bowl and Support Dedham Girls Softball

This Friday night at Sullivan Field at Memorial Park, as well as all day Saturday at Sullivan and Condon, many of your friends, neighbors, businesses, and local dignitaries will be battling away all in the name of Dedham Girls Softball in the Annual Pumpkin Bowl.

The Pumpkin, now in its 10th year, is a co-ed one pitch softball tournament (hour long games) that pits teams from all walks of Dedham life against each other in an “A” and “B” division. They will “battle” it out for “softball supremacy” and bragging rights of DGSL while helping out Dedham Girls Softball.

That support is that along with the entry fee, the proceeds from various concessions (BBQ, slushes, chips, etc) and games that are held all weekend ALL goes to defray the costs and support the programs that DGSL offers to its players and teams.

Right now there are potentially 10 teams entered and playing, so chances are pretty good  you will know someone who is suiting up for a great cause. Because of that, the best way to help out the great young women of DGSL is to watch a game or two and support, cheer (and laugh!) and your fellow “Marauders”.

So PLEASE come down, grab a dog or burger and a drink (along with a free seat) and take part in a truly fun & memorable weekend. The weather today and tomorrow is supposed to be gorgeous so bring the kids (they can play in the playground!) and spend some time at the diamond this weekend!
