Fine Food, Wine & Chocolate to Take Center Stage at the Sage Inn & Lounge

The Sage Inn & Lounge (www.sageinnptown.com), Cape Cod’s leading destination for food enthusiasts, today announced a full day of events designed to educate visitors and locals alike about the region’s fine food and how to recreate their own flavors at home. On October 12, gourmet cooking, chocolate-making and wine and chocolate experiences will be offered throughout the day.

“Part of our mission is to educate people about the excellent local ingredients, restaurants and chefs found here in Provincetown,” said Jeanne Leszczysnki, co-owner of the Sage Inn & Lounge. “Over the last several years, Provincetown has evolved from offering traditional New England staples to diverse cuisine using local ingredients prepared by some of the Northeast’s best chefs. It is through these events that we desire to showcase our local talent.”

Owned by Leszczysnki and partner, Diane DiCarlo, the historic Sage Inn & Lounge opened in 2012 following a major renovation. A quiet destination situated in the heart of Provincetown’s Commercial Street, Sage blends historic charm with contemporary sensibilities and zen-like touches. Individuals can recharge in one of 19 rooms or in the intimate Lounge area serving everything from herb-infused cocktails to tapas-style small plates. In addition, the facility boasts two private event spaces, which play host to weddings, corporate and food events.

From appetizer to dessert, on October 12, attendees will first delight in a cooking class hosted by Sage’s own Chef Lucio Garnica whose world travels and local ingredients inspire his unique creations. Then, Chocolate Therapy (www.ctsweetremedies.com), creators of award-winning artisanal chocolate, will be offering a healthy dose of sweet eating, entertainment and education. Finally, local Cape Cod wine expert, Wendy Koder, will lend her expertise as attendees taste and learn how to combine wine and chocolate. Cooking Class with Chef Lucio will be offered starting at 11:30, followed by Oh Chocolat: Cultivate Your Palate for Fine Cacao at 2 pm, and then finally, Pairing Fine Wine with Fine Chocolate at 9 pm.

The cost for each event ranges from $25 – 30 per person and limited space is available. To register or for more information, call (508) 487-6424.
