Williams-Sonoma Puts Pressure Cookers Back on Shelves

The kitchen giant had temporarily removed the cookers from some of its stores following the Boston Marathon bombings.

Williams-Sonoma has put pressure cookers back on the shelves in Boston area stores, according to an email from Rebecca Weill, the company's Director of Public Relations. There is a branch of the store located at Legacy Place in Dedham.

The company had temporarily removed pressure cookers from the shelves of Boston area stores following the Boston Marathon bombing out of respect for victims. They remained available on the Williams-Sonoma website.

"A local decision was made to temporarily remove pressure cookers from a few Boston area stores near where the bombings occurred, since some of the employees in those stores had been personally affected by the tragedy," the email from Weill read in part. "They have since been put back on the floor in Boston and are available in every store nationwide."
