Will You Shop at the New Harvest Co-op Market on Roslindale/Jamaica Plain Border?

Locally-owned Harvest Co-Op Markets recently opened a brand new market on Washington Street.

There's a new food market in the neighborhood - well, on the border of the Roslindale neighborhood. Harvest Co-op Markets opened a brand new store on Washington Street in December.

The store is located at 3815 Washington Street in Jamaica Plain, which is practically a stone's throw from Roslindale.

The new market has already seen 105 new members since opening. The building itself is environmentally-friendly, and the market has extended its product line compared to its store farther down the road on South Street.

Conveniently located by the Forest Hills T-station, the market sits at the gateway of Roslindale. So are Roslindale residents going to shop at the new Harvest Co-op Market?

If you shop at the Village Market in Roslindale Village or the Stop and Shop on American Legion Highway, do you think you'll switch markets, or try shopping at the new market? Or where do you prefer to do you market shopping? Leave your comments below.

I love that it opened where it did there are some things there that you can't get anywhere else, but come on $11.79 for Driscolls strawberries when they are $2.50 at the Village Market

Major grocery shopping at Harvest, buying as much local stuff as possible... But for quick pick ups at a pinch, and "British" food, Village Market
