What Will Happen to Dedham Red Cross If Town Offices Relocate?

Selectman Carmen DelloIacono confirmed Tuesday that the Red Cross will remain at 180 Rustcraft Road, despite the Town's plan to move next door.

With the proposed Rustcraft Road Project many Dedham residents have wondered what will happen to the existing Red Cross Donor Center which is also located at the building.

Selectman Carmen DelloIacono confirmed Tuesday that the Red Cross will remain at 180 Rustcraft Road, which is next to the building where the Town is looking to move the Town Offices, Police Station and Senior Center.

DelloIacono said the Red Cross just extended its lease at its Rustrcraft Road location.

The lease extension is for a new, 15-year term commencing in September of 2014, according to Red Cross.

The organization currently occupies 212,121 square feet at 100 Rustcraft Road, which will be reduced to approximately 150,000 square feet concurrent with the commencement of the lease extension next September.

The Red Cross was represented in the transaction by John Tobin of the Red Cross, Studley, and Lenny Owens of McCall & Almy.
