Visions for Vacancies in Dedham: Coughlin's Flower Shop

The Bridge Street storefront is bordered up with tagging on the side. What's next for the store?

Our new Visions for Vacancies feature begins this week, a spot where you can have your say and sound off on what a vacant business property should become before plans are drawn.

Each week Dedham Patch will highlight a vacant building or structure in the Dedham community.

This week we head to Riverdale and see what you want to go in at 187 Bridge St., the former Coughlin's Flower Shop.

Bordered up and looking particularly dreary on a rainy day, a new business could bring more life to this building - and Bridge Street itself.

A few projects are in the works in Riverdale already, but what do you want to see go into Coughlin's? Leave a comment in the section below!

Love both ideas. Dedham also needs a casual pub, a place to just walk to for a quick beer with friends or to watch a game and grab something light. More "gritty" than DAD which I also love.

How about a recreational teen center, a place where kids are safe and can get together to watch movies, play games and talk about teen issues. Had one of these when I was growing up, and it helps alot. Keeps kids out of trouble.

How about a senior center for Dedham The parking is already there! And it is nearby Doggett circle.

As a neighbor to this property it should be condemned the owner has no regard for the neighborhood it is a neighborhood windows broken bordered up windows the windows that aren't boared up are broken and blinds flail in the window the owner is a slum lord looking to make a profit the town really needs to take some action as a neighbor I'm going to make it my first responsibility to have this property condemend
