Shop for a Cause at The Dedham Exchange

The Dedham Exchange has been serving the community since 1914.

The Dedham Exchange is a non-profit gift shop that has been helping the community through its sales since 1914.

Located in Dedham Square, the shop offers a wide variety of items from local artist and close to 200 consignors.  And what's surprising to many is that the employees who work there are all volunteers.

The shop has a volunteer board of thirty people and two staff people who usually work part-time.

Jinna Parker has been volunteering at the shop for the last 18 years.

Last year, the shop was able to help 10 organizations which included Dedham Civic Pride, the Dedham Food Pantry, Dedham Middle School and the shop even provided two scholarships for Dedham High School students.

Giving back to the community has always been the goal for the shop. In fact, when The Dedham Exchange first opened, the goal was to help women sell their hand-crafted goods to help them make money for their families.

The Dedham Exchange is located at 445 Washington St. in Dedham Square.
