Citing the construction during its opening months and a lack of advertisement, Regina's Bakery in Dedham announced via Facebook Sunday that it will be closing its doors

"We appreciate all of those who made our bakery dream a reality and to all our loyal customers for your consistent support and praise," bakery representatives said in the announcement on Facebook Sunday. "It has been a great experience and we thank you."

The bakery opened during the summer months in 2012, and with its announcement on Sunday came several responses from fans and costumers who expressed regret to see the eatery close. One fan even suggested a move from Dedham to Norwood.

More details on the future of the space will be provided to residents and customers of the Dedham Square are in the coming weeks, according to the announcement.

I am truly sad. Regina's makes real quality baked goods and were a breath of fresh air to the square. I'm a deeply sorry to see them go and wish them well they are great people.
