Parking Meters Will Be Installed in Dedham Square This Week

This week the contractors will be installing parking meters throughout Dedham Square.

Today the Luke II Pay Stations will be installed throughout Dedham Square.

"Although the on-street and off-street pay stations are to be installed this week, they will not be activated for use at this time," contractors said.  "Parking in the Square will remain free for the time being."

The town is hoping for the pay meters to "go live" by Oct. 1, and will be distributing publications about how to use the new meters once they are active.

In the meantime, the contractors will also be installing street and road signs this week during the day, between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The night work will take place from tonight to Thursday night, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. along High Street in Dedham Square.  For that reason, all vehicles need to be removed from that street by 6 p.m.
