Dedham Square Project Update: Traffic Light Activation, Pavement Markings and More

Take a look at what's happening in Dedham Square this week.

This week the contractors will be performing the finishing work on the new retaining wall along High Street.  The sidewalk by the wall will be closed for at least one week while work is taking place.

The contractors also confirmed that the traffic lights at the intersection of High Street and Eastern Avenue "may be" activated this week.

"Please be aware that the signals may go in and out of operation while adjustments are being made,"  the contractors said in a statement. "There will be police presence in the Square to direct traffic during this time."

Night work will be done Monday and Tuesday night from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.  During that time the pavement markings are expected to be installed throughout the limits of the project in Dedham Square.

For this reason vehicle will need to be removed from the area by 7 p.m. for both nights.
