Dedham Square Project Update: Finish Work on Retaining Wall, Traffic Signals and More

Take a look at what's happening in Dedham Square this week.

According to the contractors, they will continue working on the street signage throughout the square.  They will also do the "finish work" for the new retaining wall along High Street.

"The sidewalk will be closed in front of the retaining wall for at least one week while work is taking place," the contractors said in a statement.

The contractors will also continue to adjust the programming of the traffic signals to coordinate the High Street at Washington Street, High Street at Eastern Avenue and High Street at Harris Street intersections.

Night work will also occur from tonight to Thursday night from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. The purpose will be to fix anything that was damaged from the construction.

As of Aug. 15 the project is into 82.2 percent into the 618 calendar days allotted for completion, according to the contractors
