Dedham Square Improvement Project Update, July 8

Here's this week's Dedham Square Project update.

According to the contractors, night work will be done Monday through Thursday night.  The work hours will be from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

During that time they will be installing the brick paver crosswalks with granite curb edging at the intersection of High Street at Eastern Avenue.  As a result, the road will be closed while construction takes place and detours will be established to navigate around the work area. No on-street parking will be allowed at night within the work area.

The contractors are expecting it to take two to three days for each crosswalk to be complete.

On Tuesday night, temporary pavement markings will be installed throughout the Square where the new asphalt has been installed. The roadway will not be closed while pavement markings are placed, however no on-street parking will be allowed on High Street from Court Street to Maple Place.

Because of the overnight timeframe, all vehicles must be moved from the work area by 6 p.m. Any vehicle not moved will be towed at the owner’s expense. However, the contractors will place signs up during the day to remind vehicle owners.
