Dedham Business Spotlight: Vincenzo's Italian Deli and Specialty Store

Vincenzo's Deli and Specialty Store located at 29 Bryant Street in Dedham opened 2 years ago and has had quite the following. Their authentic italian food has drawn residents and beyond to their Dedham Square location.

Patch spoke with Guiseppe and Marcella Musto to find out more about their deli in Dedham Square.

Patch: Dedham Square is a lively location with many shops and restuarants. How long have you been in business in Dedham Square?

Musto: Giuseppe and I opened Vincenzo's Italian deli 2 years ago. We specialize in authentic Italian food. We make everything homemade from Arancini (rice ball) to Zeppole (Italian cream puff). We also make our very popular homemade fresh mozzarella and sausages.

Patch: Your husband Guiseppe is from Italy, are there any homemade recipes from Italy?

Musto: Most of our recipes are from Giuseppe's family in Italy. He really tries to make everything the way his grandmother and mother did. These recipes have been handed down from generation to generation.

Patch: So what do you think is the most popular sandwich?

Musto: We have a few really popular subs. Our Italian is probably our number one. Followed by our Caprese which is made with our homemade mozzarella. Our porchetta is our best grilled panini. With oven roasted pork with fresh broccoli rabe and provolone, it melts in your mouth. 

All of our subs are made to order and made with top quality ingredients. We import the best meats and cheeses from Italy and you will taste quality in our food.

Patch: Do you also do any catering?

Musto: Yes we do, with Easter right around the corner we are taking orders for Ricotta pies, Pizza Chiena (Proscuitto pie) and much more.

Patch: During th day what is happening in your kitchen?

Musto: We make delicious pasta dishes that are available by the pound. Our specials are our on our Facebook page every morning so be sure to "like" us as soon as you can.
