Patch: How long have you been in the fitness industry?

Zagami: I've been in the fitness industry since 1999, but I started construction on my first gym as a sole proprietor in 2007.  In order to offer something new I needed the freedom to run the company exactly the way I envisioned it without compromise.

Patch: What makes Solid Body Fitness different from others?

Zagami: Most fitness facilities fall into 2 categories. Large health clubs, or small personal training studios. I wanted to build a medium size health club that focused entirely on classes. While we do have the cleanest facility, the newest equipment, and the most experienced staff, it's really the members we attract that make us different.

Every member is here to get in the best shape as quickly as possible without injury. A lot of people say that's what they want but only about half will actually do it.

What differentiates us is the support and motivation of our members. I've never seen such positive energy before. Everyday I'm motivated and inspired by how hard they work here.

Patch: What is your background?

Zagami: I started in injury rehab. There was a huge hole in the market for something between physical therapy and personal training.

I worked with a physical therapy practice for over a year learning how to transitions people from common injuries to getting back to being active.
Learning these skills has taught me how to create workouts that are incredibly effective with virtually no risk of injury.

Patch:  Can you tell us about your classes?

Zagami: We have over 50 classes each week. The different classes include small group personal training (GroupFit), Intro to Olympic Lifting, Kettlebell Classes, Body Weight Training (Ignite), Yoga, and more. I tell new people to visit our website (SolidBodyFit.com) and sign up for a free class. Membership starts at $25 per week and includes nutritional counseling and free babysitting.

Patch: What is the age and demographic?

Zagami: Our membership consists of a well balanced mix of men and women between 30 and 60. All you need is a positive attitude and be willing to put in some hard work. We'll take care of the rest.
