Best of Patch Readers' Choice: Top Gyms in Dedham

Where do you head for a great workout?

If the mild winter is a sign of a warmer summer ahead, then it's time to start thinking about that beach body. And with plenty of options in Dedham, it's easy to find the right fit.

Whether you're favorite is a gym to workout by yourself, or you go for the classes or for personal 1:1 training, there's a gym in Dedham for you.

But which one is the best? Which one is your favorite that you would go to the mat for and recommend to a friend?

Here are some of the places in town, but if we're leaving one off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it:

Ten X Club
Solid Body Fitness

So tell us what place in Dedham you go to get in shape before hitting the sands. And don't forget to tell us in the comments below why you think it's the best place in town.

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Ties will be broken by whichever business has the most positive comments in the section below. We will announce the winner at noon Friday.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. A winner will be determined by Patch editors, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

Here is a link to a recent blog post we had on the Craic website summing up a 50 day challenge that over 70 of our members participated in....the transformations were astounding (and NOT just in the mirror) http://www.crossfitcraic.com/?p=5778

Also, here is our more recent video montage (we have five) created by head coach and owner John McEvoy. It shows a little bit of what we do and the type of community we are creating. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNx3CL1ygrQ&feature=player_embedded I don't belong to any of these other gyms so I can't make any assumptions about their methodologies, ethics, and how much they truly care about their members. All that I can say is that I know without question CrossFit Craic has literally changed my life, my body, my mindset, my social experience, my outlook. People pay a premium rate to train with us...why? Because we provide a premium coaching service. We have a community at Craic, one that is supportive, hard-working and truly invested in each other, not to mention invested in other charitable causes (Sonia's Race, Mammograms in Action, and the Wounded Warriors Foundation, to name a few). Come check us out for a free intro class at 11am on Sundays... :-) always different, always hard!

Crossfit Craic has a badass atmosphere with a warm and welcoming community. I have worked out here a few times and loved it. John McEvoy is a hard working man and an amazing and dedicated athlete- which is no wonder he is a good owner and an even better coach. Best of luck Craic! from matt @ vbc
