Crossfit Craic is an amazing, community based, gym atmosphere. No where else can you make new friends everyday and have old friends yelling and cheering for you as you transform your body. There is nothing like it in Dedham. I've been to all the other gyms. The feel, drive and push you get a Craic is incomparable. Everyone is welcome, everyone advances and sees results, and everyone feels like part of the community helping each other reach their goals.

Crossfit Craic is not only the best gym in Dedham , it's the best gym in Ma! By far the best training, coaches , and people of any gym I've ever been to. Try it and you will be hooked.

After being a member of DHAC for almost 10 years I left for CrossFit Craic. DHAC has a beautiful facility but the coaches and the programming at Craic makes going to the gym enjoyable and addictive. They have transformed my life by educating me what foods I should and should not be putting in my body and I am in the best shape of my life!!

Craic. Enough said. Boom.

After several years of running and globo gyms and no results it was time to step it up a notch. CrossFit Craic offers the push and the atmosphere I was looking for. The coaches and members alike are the best out there. I can honestly say I can't wait to get back in the gym when I leave. Check it out-Craic is where all the fun is.

Dedham Health & Athletic Complex is top notch. Thanks to their 60/60 Program and their incredible staff (especially my trainer, Jason Laporte), I have lost nearly 140lbs and dropped 4 meds (3 blood pressure and 1 cholesterol). They have an amazing facility, a wide variety of group fitness classes and truly care about helping their clients.

I've been working out for 25 years... Crossfit Craic has changed my life. If you want to reach your potential, give it a try... I promise you won't regret it!

After years of gym memberships and countless personal trainers, I was looking for a different, more challenging workout that kept me wanting to go back for more. I stumbled on to CrossFit Craic about a year ago and have not looked back! The coaches/owners are an amazing, knowledgeable group of men and women who push us every day to get out of our comfort zone and leave it all on the box floor. The sense of community is beyond words. We are a strong family that truly enjoy and help eachother in every aspect of our lives. Join Craic, it will change your life!

Just started at Craic and can't say enough good things about the coaches and members. I look forward to becoming healthier and stronger.

Cross Fit Craic... I love this place. The trainers/owners and coaches are amazing. No matter which class you go to, "it's always hard and always different." You just can't say enough about how much this place can make you feel better. I love it!!!

Crossfit Craic has an unbelievably talented coaching team but more importantly has a membership that is very supportive in making sure all ability levels get the same support and attention.
Danielle M. O'Brien March 20, 2012 at 02:08 AM
I echo what Mike says... Craic is amazing at scaling workouts to all levels so everyone is being pushed to their own limits - it's a group class but the coaches take time to personalize the workout for each person where necessary. So many people say - "WOW, you do Crossfit, so intense - I could never do that!" But they really have no idea what goes on during a typical class! Everyone should do themselves a favor and check it out. Beyond the workout, its just a great community of people and gives a new meaning to a workout buddy as they are counting for you, and cheering you along :) And, it doesn't stop there - Nutrition is another element of our box and community! In summary - Crossfit Craic is an amazingly well rounded health experience.

Craic is Far and Away (Irish movie pun intended) the best gym, scratch that, Health Center is the area. I cannot speak highly enough about the incredible coaching staff and owners and also my fellow members. Since August I have been going there 3x/week and eating a Paleo diet (look it up) and I have lost 60 lbs. It is a truly inspiring place!
Reggie Desir March 20, 2012 at 02:48 AM
Reggie D I've been a power lifter and a globo gym guy for most of my adult life. Until I came across crossfit while deployed in Afghanistan. Since returning home I have become a part of the Crossfit Craic family and have loved every moment of it. The gains in all areas to include 40 pounds lost over the last year have been incredible. Even more importantly than the weight loss I have changed my lifestyle. I have never been more conscious of what I put into my body than I am now. I would not have been able to accomplish this just doing Legs on Mondays, Chest on Tuesdays, etc. The community of Craic is unexplainable and can only be experienced. Those who see the crossfit commercials and think, "Wow, I could never do that!" are the exact people that should check this out. You will be amazed at the way you push yourself when among others that are striving and pushing for the same things that you are. Furthermore you won't go to any other gym and find coaches that are more knowledgable and awesome as the ones at Craic. If you want 15 minute abs, go buy yourself a thirty dollar dvd that will just sit on your bookshelf and collect dust. If you want to look good naked, outrun a sprinting zombie, and deadlift a heavy couch that fell on your grandma then Craic is where you need to be. Craic is not a fad or a trend but rather a way of life. Come in and see for yourself.

Where are all my DHAC people?!! We all know this is the best place for plenty reasons. Staff, atmosphere, classes, equipment, pools, food/drink, family friendly, etc., I just LOVE DHAC and I know all the thousands of other members do as well! Also, of course, one of the best places to partake in Zumba class in the evenings!! :)

Craic all the way!
Avon Barksdale March 20, 2012 at 11:04 AM
After reading all of these comments, I've decided that Crossfit Craic is either the greatest gym in the world or a dangerous cult that needs to be eradicated.
ben March 20, 2012 at 01:02 PM
You don't need to believe everything that is being said about how great Crossfit Craic is, it's all about proof. I know it firsthand. Six months ago i could barely lift my arm over my head due to a torn nerve in me back/neck. I was one of those people that said i will never be able to do that. I came to Craic with failure in mind but that all changed the moment i walked in the door. Every workout was scaled for my level of ability. Now six months later i almost have full range of motion back in my shoulder, I’m down 30 pounds and are doing the workouts as written. If you are tired of that same regular routine at your gym, give Craic a try, you won't be disappointed.

Crossfit Craic! This place makes you look forward to working out at 5:30 in the morning.
Omar Little March 20, 2012 at 02:46 PM
You're right. It's the greatest gym in the world.

Walking through the doors at Craic is far and away the best thing you can do for your health and your life. Most people who drive by either comment that we don't have any equipment, they didn't even know there was a gym there, or they just stare in the windows and watch this group of people pushing themselves. We don't have the most beautiful facilities, we don't have massage tables, hell we don't even have a locker room. And I wouldn't change it for anything. Come to Craic! Or, stay in your globo gym, wear your shirt to the beach this summer, and tell me about how shiny the machines are at your place, and how you can hit the tanning salon in your locker room.
MP March 20, 2012 at 06:06 PM
I love the enthusiasm you all have for Craic but without DHAC, I wouldn't have lost an additional 140lbs and come off 4 meds. THAT was the best thing I did for my health and my life! :) And I like having a locker room...and a pool!
Adam J Stivaletta March 20, 2012 at 06:33 PM
I find the knowledge of the coaches at crossfit craic to be far superior than any other trainer and program I've come across. Thanks to their guidance and the push from the people around me I am wayyyyyy faster, stronger, and in shape than I have ever been. After joining CRAIC, I will never go back to a corporate gym and the same old "routine" training. I love people I see there, and the style of working out will stay with me forever.

Here is a link to a recent blog post we had on the Craic website summing up a 50 day challenge that over 70 of our members participated in....the transformations were astounding (and NOT just in the mirror) http://www.crossfitcraic.com/?p=5778
Sara McEvoy March 21, 2012 at 02:20 PM
Also, here is our more recent video montage (we have five) created by head coach and owner John McEvoy. It shows a little bit of what we do and the type of community we are creating. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNx3CL1ygrQ&feature=player_embedded I don't belong to any of these other gyms so I can't make any assumptions about their methodologies, ethics, and how much they truly care about their members. All that I can say is that I know without question CrossFit Craic has literally changed my life, my body, my mindset, my social experience, my outlook. People pay a premium rate to train with us...why? Because we provide a premium coaching service. We have a community at Craic, one that is supportive, hard-working and truly invested in each other, not to mention invested in other charitable causes (Sonia's Race, Mammograms in Action, and the Wounded Warriors Foundation, to name a few). Come check us out for a free intro class at 11am on Sundays... :-) always different, always hard!

Crossfit Craic has a badass atmosphere with a warm and welcoming community. I have worked out here a few times and loved it. John McEvoy is a hard working man and an amazing and dedicated athlete- which is no wonder he is a good owner and an even better coach. Best of luck Craic! from matt @ vbc
