A Little Bit of Paradise at Keldara

The Thursday Patch Passport takes you to a local spa where you can feel like you are a million miles away from the daily stress of life. Come along and relax...

For such a bustling place, brings an ease of mind and moment of relaxation to everyone - even those who work at the spa and salon in Dedham Plaza.

Co-owner Jeanne Gianino opened the spa 12 years ago with her sister, and has been pleasing many with massages, facials, manicures and more ever since.

"Dedham was such an ideal location for us," Gianino said. "We draw from so many wonderful communities around."

While most spas offer nearly the same regular services, Gianino said the aromas used in pedicures and other treatments sets Keldara apart.

"We try to do exciting things by incorporating unique aroma and unique products," she said.

If you're looking for a complete massage experience, Keldara staff will use a body scrub prior to a massage, and remove it with warm towels.

"The client never has to move," Gianino said. "It's just been so popular."

The client experience, for Gianino, makes all the difference.

"People who come here are supremely happy all the time," Gianino said. "It's a great feeling to make people feel relaxed, and beautiful through their hair and nails."
