Robert Downey Jr. Comes to Dedham Square

Actors Robert Downey Jr. was in Dedham to film "The Judge." Friday will be the last day the film crew will be in Dedham.


The First Church of Dedham was packed with fans hoping to get a glimpse of Robert Downey Jr. or Robert Duvall.  The two actors are in Dedham to film their "The Judge."

Nicole MacDonald and Keysha Miralda are two friends who were among a crowd that came to the set as early as 8 a.m. to watch the movie shoot.

"I'm such a huge fan of Robert Downey Jr.," MacDonald said. "I'm hoping to at least see him it would be amazing to get autograph or a picture."

At around 12:10 p.m. Robert Downey Jr. walked out of the Dedham Community House and greeted the fans who were waiting for me.

"It was amazing to see that he actually came out to sign autographs," Keysha Miralda said.  "I honestly didn't think we were going to get anything."

Friday will be the last day the film crew will be in Dedham.  However, High Street is expected to have a high volume of traffic.  According to town officials, there are no road closures planned for the day.
