The Contentments, DJWC Endicott Summer Concert Series

The Contentments, a Dedham-based Classic R&B and Soul band, will perform Wednesday July 27th at 7 PM outdoors at the Endicott Estate.

Sponsored by the Dedham School of Music, the 9 members of the Contentments include local musicians from Oakdale, Riverdale, and Dedham Center neighborhoods, and features the ShireTown Horns.

“We are Dedham’s own House Band,” said ShireTown Horns’ Jonathan Briggs. “Come out and have some fun with us.”

The Contentments were formed in 2010 to tap into the depth of musical talent in Dedham, with local musicians who've performed in swing orchestras, jazz combos, rock groups, and country bands, and who teach at the Berklee College of Music.

“The Dedham School of Music’s sponsorship of The Contentments is part of our effort to promote music education and performance in Dedham,“ said DSM’s Executive Director Gabriella Sanna.  “Sign-ups for our Fall classes will start soon, and through this concert we want to show Dedham’s students – and their parents - that children’s music classes can bring a lifetime of pleasure, fulfillment, and fun.”
