Live Theater at Dedham Historical Society

Live theatre comes to the Dedham Historical Society on Saturday, April 9, at 2 p.m., with a production of “American Tapestry: Immigrant Children of the Bread and Roses Strike” by the Boston award winning theatre group Theatre Espresso

The story explores the Bread and Roses strike from the perspective of children from immigrant families who were working in the mills and were part of the historic strike. This original production is written for grades three and higher and encourages the audience to participate in a discussion with the actors during the performance.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Dedham Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency; Eastern Bank; and the Dedham Rotary Club.
