Hyde Park Open Studios

On Sunday, September 30, Hyde Park Open Studios celebrates its 10th year as one of the most anticipated annual arts events in Hyde Park. Showcasing the arts within and throughout the community, HPOS brings artists and community together. Open Studios provides visitors an opportunity to meet with artists, see art and simply ‘hang’.


This year more than 70 artists will participate.


The event takes place at four venues in Hyde Park----

65 Sprague Street, The Lofts atWestinghouse Plaza, 1391 Hyde Park Ave and the MAC at 26 Central Ave.


Old Town Trolleys will drive continuous loops between the venues beginning at noon. Trolleys are free and visitors are invited to park and ride.

Parking is available at each venue, with overflow parking at Sprague and Westinghouse.


Each venue  will  offer  music  and  artists  will host demonstrations  throughout  the afternoon. The first begins at 12:30pm at 1391 Hyde Park Ave, followed by workshops at Sprague Street and the MAC. Artist Tommey closes the circuit with Polaroid Big Shot Portraits at Sprague at 3pm. Readville Fest  joins Open Studios this year. Hosted by  Sprague Street businesses Broderick Gymnastics, Sky Zone and Rock Spot Climbing, the festival highlights physical fitness  and  family  fun.  The  fest  will  feature  free  tours  and  special  discounts  at  each facility as well as food trucks.


Hyde Park Open Studios takes place Sunday, September 30, from 11am to 5pm. The event is supported by a grant from The Lofts at Westinghouse Arts Fund, by First Highland  and  by  Spin350  Creative.  Sponsors  include  Blue  Hills  Bank  and  area businesses.
