Free Staged Reading of a New Work, Spring Fling, Based on "The Snowball," by A.R. Gurney

Please join us for a Free Staged Reading of a New Work, Spring Fling, Based on "The Snowball," by A.R. Gurney.  Fiddlehead Theatre Company presents a staged dramatic reading of a new work, entitled Spring Fling, based upon The Snowball by A.R. Gurney.  Spring Fling tells the story of a young couple struggling to save their marriage along with “saving their students”.  They are both teachers, one teaching in the inner city, and the other teaching at an exclusive private school.  They come up with a plan to bring their students together and bridge the gap of private versus public school by entering them in a national ballroom dance contest.  Along the way, they learn about bridging the gap between themselves and helping their students explore new possibilities.  Experience the first step in producing an exciting new play before it premiers in New York City.  The reading will be performed by New York & Boston theater professionals.  The reading will be held at Fiddlehead Theatre Company, 619 High Street, Dedham. The curtain goes up on Monday, July 25th at 8:00 pm. According to the playwrights, Meg Fofonoff and Ben Bartolone, “It is crucial for a play's development to get an idea of how it sounds to an audience”.   Hearing people react to the dialogue during a staged reading helps in further developing the new work.  Come join us in raising the curtain and seeing some theatrical magic! The event is free and will be followed by a post show discussion.  Audiences are invited to stay, ask questions, and provide feedback for the further development of this work. Please call 781-329-1901 to reserve a seat.### If you’d like more information, please call Meg Fofonoff at 781-329-1901, or e-mail us at fiddleheadinfo@aol.com.
