4TH Annual Oktoberfest - Music Under the Tent

Opening Night -- "Music Under the Tent"

An Oktoberfest first, the Dedham School of Music will provide top performers for the opening night music festival. The line-up includes: The Contentments, a group of musicians from Dedham who will perform the soulful music of the '60s and '70s; the Shiretown Horns, a four piece collection of winds and reeds with jazz and classical roots; and Joe Brogan, the newly retired music director for Dedham Public Schools, who will bring his band's swing style and personality to the festival.

"The Dedham School of Music was formed to enrich the surrounding communities with a variety of music," said Fred Civian, board member. "The Oktoberfest weekend promises to offer a great jamming session by talented amateurs from throughout this region."
