4th Annual Oktoberfest

The Main Event – Oktoberfest

The weekend's activities culminate to the grand annual Oktoberfest on Sunday, September 19 from noon to 5:00pm. Now in its fourth year, Oktoberfest has grown to become a crowd-pleasing custom that attracts generations of families and neighbors from across the region. In the spirit of the original Oktoberfest of Munich dating back to 1810, the upcoming event at Endicott Estate offers a taste of Bavaria in Dedham, with a wide selection of music, entertainment and expanded activities for children and families. An array of food and drink will be offered including German traditional favorites of bratwurst and sauerkraut, as well as pulled pork, grilled pizza and sausages. The "bier garten" will feature a fine selection of beers and favorite wines. Cost of admission is $5.oo per person, children under 13 are free.

The 2010 Oktoberfest will include live German entertainment with the 12-piece renowned band, The Oberlaendler Hofbrau. In full traditional dress, playing the anvil and musical bells, the band encourages all attendees, young and old, to sing along and dance with the Musicant, the Wood Chopper and New England's favorite, "The Beer Barrel Polka."
