Today at the Farmer's Market: Artist Demos, Free Recipe Samples and More

The market will be open today from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. rain or shine.

Today the Dedham Farmer's Market will feature eggplant, white and yellow peaches, pepper varieties, corn, beets, celery, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, several varieties of heirloom tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, summer squash, zucchini, potatoes, arugula, currants, bok choy, kale, cabbage, sugar snap peas, cauliflower, greens,  kohlrabi, radishes, carrots, spinach, sprouts, scallions, garlic and garlic scapes, several lettuce varieties, scallions, loads of herbs (both potted and loose), potted annuals and more.

Also today at the market, the UMass Extension Nutrition Education Program will be there from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. to share some samples of recipes made with local seasonal produce.

At 3 p.m.  Whole Foods Market will stop by to also share samples of food that was prepared from the produce at the market.

The Dedham Artist Guild will be hosting two artists demos from Wendy Birchmire  from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Monica Fairbairn from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

And 9-year-old Joey Shagoury will be at the market to sell hand-made bookmarks for The Jimmy Fund.
