1. Aide to the Teachers Benefit
Where/When: Moseley's on the Charles, 50 Bridge St. in Dedham/ Friday, Dec. 28 at 7 p.m.
Why Go: All proceeds will go to the teachers of Sandy Hook Elementary in order for them to rebuild their classrooms. The event will have live entertainment, food, and raffles.

2. Dedham Community House December Vacation Week Program

Why Go: Are you looking for something fun for your kids to do over the December School Vacation week? Well look no further, DCH is running another vacation week program this coming December. Kids will participate in sports & games, arts & crafts, woodworking, science and more! They will even end the week off with a cookout! Sign up for individual days or the whole program!

3. Matt Borello in Concert
Where/When: Paradise Cafe, 565 High St. in Dedham./ Saturday, Dec. 29 at 8 p.m.
Why Go: His songs draw their structures from folk, country, blues, and rock music. He is a lover of spontaneous collaborations and his songs often have several different arrangements. Matt writes from a personal perspective, but his songs are markedly devoid of the boring self-pity that plagues the repertoires of many acoustic balladeers. He has several protest songs and no breakup songs.

4. Solar Workshop and Family Fun
Where/When: 257 Mount Vernon St. in Dedham./ Saturday, Dec. 29 at 1 p.m.
Why Go: We'll have activities and snacks for your children as you use this opportunity to learn how you can save money on your electricity bills by producing clean, renewable solar energy and schedule your free solar assessment.

5. Kids Craft
Where/When: Sheep Skate Yarn & Craft, 549 High St. in Dedham./ Sunday, Dec. 30 at 4:30 p.m.
Why Go: This is a great time for kids 8-years-old and older to get together at the Sheep Skate table and create. Each week they do something different. It could be clay, beads, weaving, jewelry, you never know.
