1. Trick-or-Treat Halloween Event at Legacy Place to Benefit the Greater Boston Food Drive
Where/When: Legacy Place, 680 Legacy Pl. in Dedham/ Saturday, Oct. 20 at 12 p.m.
Why Go: Bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Greater Boston Food Bank and receive a trick-or-treat bag along with a list of participating stores. Adults and kids alike will enjoy psychic readings, face-painting, glitter tattoos, pumpkin shakes from b.good, hot apple cider from Whole Foods, Cadillac test drives and so much more!
2. Fall Fair & Pumpkin Fest
Where/When: The Dedham Community House, 671 High St. in Dedham./ Sunday, Oct. 21 at 10:00 a.m.
Why Go: Pony Rides, Arts & Crafts, Moon Bounce, Carnival Games, Facepainting, Pumpkin Decorating, Refreshments, Entertainment and more! Bring your Already-Carved-At-Home pumpkins for a contest with prizes.
3. Oktoberfest Dinner
Where/When: MIT Endicott House, 80 Haven St. in Dedham./ Friday, Oct. 19 at 6 p.m.
Why Go: Reception will feature Hoponius Union India Pale Ale Lager and a Wet Hop Lager brewed with all hops and grain grown in New England with passed Hors' D'oeuvres & learn the History of Craft Beers.
4. Kids Craft
Where/When: Sheep Skate Yarn & Craft, 549 High Street, Dedham./ Sunday, Oct. 21 at 4:30 p.m.
Why Go: This is a great time for kids 8 years old and older to get together at the Sheep Skate table and create. Each week the class does something different. It could be clay, beads, weaving, jewelry, you never know.
5. Chad Verbeck in Concert
Where/When: Paradise Cafe, 565 High St. in Dedham./ Friday, Oct. 13 at 8 p.m.
Why Go: Chad has been singing, playing guitar and writing songs for most of his life. Playing in original band projects from Boston to Colorado, on the road and locally. He has recorded three original albums and has toured extensively throughout the country.
