Get Out: 5 Things to Do This Weekend, Bowling with Santa, Concerts and More

1. Steve Marchena Solo Classical

Where/When: Paradise Cafe, 565 High St. in Dedham/ Friday, Dec. 21 at 8 p.m.

Why Go: His recent concert appearances include performances at Gillette Stadium, Jordan Hall, Copley Square Park, The Lebanon Opera House, The Timberlane Performance Center, The North Port Performance Center, Berklee College of Music, Harper's Ferry, Ryle's Jazz Club, The House of Blues, The Knitting Factory, The Middle East and The Boston Hatch Shell. Steve won the Northeast Finals of Guitarmageddon 2004 and has played concerts opening for Al Di Meola , Nuno Bettencourt and Jon Finn. He has recently performed with Jon Finn and with The Boston Modern Orchestra Project.

2. Bowling with Santa

Where/When: Kings, 600 Legacy Pl. in Dedham./ Saturday, Dec. 22 at 1 p.m.

Why Go: Bowl with Santa Claus and Kings mascots Woody and BB Kings. Take a picture with the gang and enjoy some complimentary hot chocolate and cookies.  All children will also receive holiday goody bags. There is no charge to meet Santa, but we’ll ask for a donation to benefit the Dedham Youth Commission.

3. The Velveteen Rabbit

Where/When: 572 Tremont St. in Boston./  Saturday, Dec. 22 at 2 p.m.

Why Go:  Back by popular demand for its fourth season, this enchanting play features puppetry combined with live actors to create a magical experience for people of all ages.

Price: $10

4. St. Paul's Christmas Eve Services

Where/When: 59 Court St. in Dedham./ Sunday, Dec. 23 at 10 a.m.

Why Go: Their annual Christmas Pageant.

Price: FREE

5. Kids Craft

Where/When: Sheep Skate Yarn & Craft, 549 High St. in Dedham./ Sunday, Dec. 23 at 4:30 p.m.

Why Go:  Each week they do something different.  It could be clay, beads, weaving, jewelry, you never know.
