Five Things You Need to Know: Nov. 8, Parent Workshop, Concerts and More

Here are five things you need to know for Thursday!

Today's Weather: Rain, with a high near 42.  For tonight, there will be showers, with a low around 32, according to The National Weather Service.

1. There will be a Parent Resource Workshop at 671 High St. in Dedham.  Speak with a specialist in Education and Disability Law, and participate in a discussion about your child’s educational rights.  This event is free to attend and starts at 6:30 p.m.

2. Rick Berlin and The Nickel & Dime Band will be performing at Paradise Cafe, 565 High St. in Dedham.  The concert is free and starts at 8 p.m.

3. Sheep Skate Yarn & Craft, 549 High St. in Dedham, is having a Kids Crochet class at 5 p.m.  This is a great opportunity for kids to learn how to chrochet or just boost skills.  It's a low key, fun, drop in class ,and costs $15 to join.

4. The Dedham Public Library, 43 Church St. in Dedham, will have Children's Story Time at 10:30 a.m.

5. And the First Church of Dedham-Unitarian, 670 High St. in Dedham, will have an Older Adult Fitness class at 9:30 a.m.  The classes are led by a certified knowledgeable instructor experienced in working with seniors, and costs $3.50 to join.
