Five Things You Need to Know After Hurricane Sandy: Oct. 30

Here are five things you need to know for Tuesday to help you get through the storm.

Today's Weather: Today there will be showers, with a high near 68.  For tonight, more showers, with a low around 56, according to The National Weather Service.

1. Trash Collection will be collected today.

2. If you see downed wires, call the number for Dispatch at 781-751-9300.

3. The Town may be opening a shelter at the Dedham Middle School as the need arises. Residents who need temporary shelter should call the State Resource Line for this information by dialing 211.

4. As of 7:31 a.m. 715 residents are without power, call NSTAR at 1-800-592-2000 if you're experiencing a power outtage.  Planet Fitness, 695 Providence Highway in Dedham, will be offering their shower stalls to the public during business hours.  You can contact the gym at 781-355-4000.
