Five Things You Need to Know: Dec. 6, Laughing for a Cause, Concerts and More

Here are five things you need to know for Thursday!

Today's Weather: Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 39.  For tonight, partly cloudy, with a low around 28, according to The National Weather Service.

1. Gospel Music Hall of Fame's Matthew Ward, will be performing at St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 950 East St. in Dedham. Ward is best known as a former member of the vocal trio, 2nd Chapter of Acts, in which he sang from 1973-1988. He has since gone on to an impressive solo career, working with the likes of Donna Summer, LeAnn Rimes, and Jordin Sparks.  The free concert will start at 7 p.m.

2. There will be a Laughter Fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy victims at 917 High St. in Dedham.  Experience all the health benefits of a good belly laugh! No comedy or jokes involved! Enjoy this internationally-known unique exercise of laughter and clapping combined with gentle breathing that brings more oxygen to the body's cells.  The event costs $5 and starts at 8 p.m.

3. There will be an Older Adult Fitness class at the First Church of Dedham-Unitarian, 670 High St. in Dedham.  The classes are led by a certified knowledgeable instructor experienced in working with seniors.  The class starts at 9:30 a.m. and costs $3.50 to join.

4. Sheep Skate Yarn & Craft, 549 High St. in Dedham, will have a Kids Crochet class at 5 p.m.
