Five Things You Need to Know: April 17, Luau Dance Party, Storytime and More

Today's Weather: Today it will be cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 64.  For tonight, clear skies, with a low around 41, according to The National Weather Service.

1. The Dedham Community House, 671 High St. in Dedham, will have a free Open Gym for Middle & High School Students at 6:15 p.m.

2. The Neponset Valley Sunrise Rotary Club will meet at the Holiday Inn, 55 Ariadne Rd. in Dedham, at 7:30 a.m.

3. Whole Foods Market, 300 Legacy Pl. in Dedham, will have a free Stories and Snacks event at 9:30 a.m.  Kids of all ages are welcome.

4. The Dedham Public Library, Endicott Branch, 257 Mount Vernon St. in Dedham, will have a free Storytime event at 10:30 a.m.  This program is designed for young children and their parents/caregivers.

5. And the Dedham Community House will have a free Tropical Luau Dance Party at 6:30 p.m.  Enjoy music, dance contests, games, snacks and more! Wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt, grass skirt and flip flops and enjoy a night of fun with music provided by the Dedham Youth Commission DJ Club.  Registration on the DCH Website is not required but is appreciated for planning purposes.
