Five Things You Need to Know: Apr. 5, Spelling Bee, Free Pizza with the Pillsbury Doughboy and More

Today's Weather: Today will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 57.  For tonight, mostly clear, with a low around 29, according to The National Weather Service.

1. Whole Foods Market, 300 Legacy Pl. in Dedham, will have a free Stories and Snacks for kids event at 10:30 a.m.

2. There will be a free Pillsbury Pizza Fun and Creativity event at Make Meaning, 228 Legacy Pl. in Dedham.  Learn how to kick your pizza up a notch by brushing the pizza crust with garlic butter,herbs and/or parmesan cheese. And the kids can participate in the fun by adding their own fresh toppings!  And get the chance to meet the Pillsbury Doughboy!

3. The Dedham Community House, 671 High St. in Dedham, will have a Boot Camp: Karate for Beginners class at 5:30 p.m.  The class costs $102 to join.

4. The Annual Spelling Bee will take place at Dedham Middle School, 70 Whiting Ave. in Dedham, at 6 p.m.  The Annual Spelling Bee features teams from the four elementary schools and the Middle School, competing for top honors.

5. And there will be a Hulapalooza event featuring Jim Plunkett at the American Legion, 155 Eastern Ave. in Dedham, at 7 p.m.  Tickets cost $20.
