Fairbanks House in Dedham Opens for 2014 Season

The season runs through October each year.

With May officially arriving on Thursday, the historic Fairbanks House in Dedham opened for its 2014 season

The house, which was recently named to the list of the "oldest still standing 17th century homes in Massachusetts," has reportedly opened every May 1 since 1904. The season runs through Oct. 31 each year.

House representatives also recently welcomed new curator Erin Lutton, who joined the staff after receiving her master's degree in historic preservation from Boston Architectural College.
