Does Dedham Pick Up Bulk Trash Items for Free?

Get the answer in this week's Q&A with Dedham Patch.

Each week, Dedham Patch will provide answers to questions we are finding on the top of our readers' minds.

This week, we're focusing on trash collection in Dedham. Specifically, we're looking at whether Dedham collects bulk items, such as mattresses or stoves, free of charge.

Bulk items and white goods are picked up free of charge once a week, according to the Dedham Department of Public Works. Residents will need to call Waste Management at 800-972-4545 to schedule a collection for these items.

Residents should also note that this pickup does not cover TVs or computer monitors; those items must be brought to the transfer station or the household hazardous waste day that is held once a year in October.
