There’s cafes, a theater and children’s bookstore where families spend their afternoon. But on Friday, a quiet area of High Street turned into a crime scene, when a shooting victim pulled up in front of the police department with gun shot indentations on her vehicle.
State police believe the victim, a 32 year old female from Dedham, was driving her car northbound on the VFW Parkway in West Roxbury when another vehicle shot at her car several times.
At 4:45 p.m. The victim then drove herself to the Dedham Police Department on High Street where she was found with gun shot wounds and then transported by ambulance to the Beth Israel Hospital, State Police said.
Dedham Police Chief Michael d'Entremont said EMS found the 32 year old female in the vehicle to be suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
