As of September 19, the Dedham Square Improvement Project continues to be on schedule at Day 543 days of the 618 consecutive calendar days contracted for completion. For those who like percentages - the project is more than 87.9% finished!
The contractor has worked 170 day shifts and 67 night shifts for a total of 237 working days of the contractual maximum 366 working days allowed for the project, according to the Dedham Square Improvement Project update newsletter.
This week from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., the contractor will continue addressing punch-list items throughout the Square. Punch-lists consist of miscellaneous tasks needing to be repaired and/or replaced by the contractor due to damage or faulty workmanship in order to complete the project. These items include things such as signage corrections, removal and installation of etched granite parking space numbers, replacement of bricks within the sidewalks and crosswalks and replanting or replacement of trees and plantings.

Several on-street parking spaces may be unavailable while work is taking place and "No Parking" signs will be put up for drivers.
