Three Dedham Residents Graduate From The Rivers School
WESTON, MA—Three Dedham residents were among 90 students to graduate from The Rivers School in Weston on Friday, June 13.
Leah K. Ciffolillo, a high honor roll student, was an exceptionally talented photographer whose work was recognized with the Rivers Photography Prize at Prize Day, as well as numerous awards, including a Silver Key and honorable mention from the Boston Globe Scholastic Art competition, and a second place prize in the SISAL competition. She shared her enthusiasm and school spirit as an editor of the Yearbook for two years, a Red Key tour guide, and a varsity lacrosse player. Leah’s dedication to the community showed in her work as a middle school tutor as well as an internship with the non-profit Containers to Clinics, working to bring healthcare to developing nations. The daughter of Kathryn Sargent and Joe Ciffolillo, she will attend Colorado College in the fall.
A high honor roll student who was named a scholar athlete at the annual varsity awards ceremony, Alexander G. Cover was a friendly, dedicated member of the Rivers community. As a four-year member of both the soccer and lacrosse teams, he served as a role model on campus and was the 2014 recipient of the lacrosse team’s Unsung Hero Award. When not studying and competing, Alec showed his business savvy as the co-president of the Entrepreneur Club and active member of the Stock Club, as well as enthusiastic tour guide for Red Key. The son of McLane and Tenney Cover, he will attend the University of Richmond in the fall.
