The Dedham American Legion Band, Post 18 hits lucky "13" in Quincy

The Dedham American Legion Band, Post 18, performed at The Christmas Parade in Quincy on Sunday, December 1st. It was the Thirteenth performance of this young band. The Band's 1 Year Anniversary was on October 10th. Transportation was provided by Parkway Towing in Hyde Park. The Dedham American Legion Band, Post 18 is a volunteer band founded in October of 2012 by David Zablatsky, Jeanette Berger and Dick Goguen. The band’s mission is to promote patriotism, theUS military and Veterans’ organizations. This goal is achieved through serving the local communities by providing live music for various venues while providing opportunity for personnel and musical growth of its members. The membership consists of men and women whoenjoy music. The Band is seeking musicians, color guard and support members, middle school age and above. Openings exist in all sections. No auditions. Uniforms, music, percussion, sousaphones provided. Other instruments can be provided as well. American Legion eligibility is not required.
