HANOVER, MA, ISSUED JULY 21, 2014… Dolce Med Spa & Boutique (www.dolcemed.com), a luxury medical spa offering exceptional, five-star spa services for men and women, is introducing its new trademarked service, Not Your Mother’s Facelift™, a non-surgical facelift, to the market.

Tracey Lively, founder and marketing director of Dolce Med Spa, has trademarked and patented the unique, non-surgical medical treatment that she calls Not Your Mother’s Facelift.™ In part, she said, the name grew out of the fact that the treatments available today to women (and men!) are significantly improved by advanced technology over those offered even a decade ago.  The Not Your Mother’s Facelift™ treatment is available exclusively at Dolce Med Spa.

Not Your Mother’s Facelift™ is accomplished by laser treatment in the spa. In bringing the new service to market, Lively worked for two years with the FDA to secure approval. The review and approval process included performing over 1,000 of these treatments, which were evaluated and scrutinized carefully to be certain that they met the most exacting standards. The non-surgical facelift can be completed in three office visits of approximately 45 minutes each, and is accomplished with advanced laser technology that has been used by Massachusetts General Hospital on its surgical floor. The medical supervisory team includes Dr. Daniel DelVecchio, renowned cosmetic surgeon who serves as the Dolce medical director, and earned his undergraduate degree from Yale University (summa cum laude) and medical degree from Harvard Medical School.

Lively said that the treatment offers several distinct advantages over others on the market: as a non-surgical treatment, the client does not face significant interruption in his/her schedule, and the treatment is extremely affordable. “Plus,” she said, “Most importantly, it is something that people love, one that will get the results the client wants.”

The facelift is accomplished through the advanced technology of the Palomar Icon Laser, one of only two such medical instruments in the state. It is also used by Massachusetts General Hospital on its surgical floor. There are two different hand treatments from the Icon. The first targets broken capillaries and hyper-pigmentation from sun-damaged skin. (Laser treatment is the only solution if a client has damaged the cells beneath the surface of the skin.) The laser light targets damaged cells by picking up melanin, which rises to the surface of the skin by turning brown and splotchy.

Next, the treatment targets broken capillaries using a different wavelength. This second process involves a second Palomar Icon hand piece, which targets deep set lines and fine lines, and ultimately tightens the skin. This FDA-approved procedure is able to target the area around the orbital eye area. During this procedure, collagen is produced for three months throughout the treatment series, as well as for four months after the series is finished. And finally, the skin is tightened. For additional information on the treatment, please visit www.dolcemed.com.

We are very pleased to bring this exciting, non-surgical treatment to the South Shore,” she said, adding, “The treatments available today are far more user-friendly. The main obstacles that prevented people from these procedures – the expense, and the time commitment – have been minimized. This is truly the next generation of facelifts. We invite people to learn more!”
