Town Census Papers Due, Lecture on Dedham Historic Districts Coming

Don't miss the deadline to submit your annual Town Census papers.

1. Have you returned your Annual Town Census papers? Massachusetts law requires a local annual census be conducted on Jan. 1. You have until Jan. 31 to return your form to the Office of the Town Clerk or risk inactive voter status as well as losing your proof of residency should you need it.

2. The Dedham Historical Society and Museum will welcome Andrea Gilmore, director of architectural conservation with Building Conservation Associates, Inc., on Thursday, Jan. 30. for a lecture on Dedham's historic districts. DHS members can attend for free and non-members pay just $5.

3. Still searching for that perfect Super Bowl menu? According to its Facebook page, Heirloom Kitchen has put together a Super Bowl package for customers to pick up on Saturday. Get your order in ASAP for the blood orange BBQ chicken or ribs, jalapeño cornbread and apple jicama slaw.

4. It's never too late to jump into a new book group for the new year. The Dedham Public Library offers five groups at different times and locations. Check out the Book Group page to select the one that works for you and get started on the February book.

5. Whole Foods Market Dedham is still accepting registrations for its Plant Strong series scheduled to meet on five Sundays beginning Feb. 2. The courses are free and include samples, cooking demonstrations and more all geared toward increasing the plants in your diet.
